If you don’t already have a battery or charger from the STIHL AK System, this STIHL FSA 50 set is a great place to start. Along with the FSA 50 battery trimmer, the kit includes an AK 10 lithium‑ion battery and an AL 101 charger—everything you need to get to work right away.

The FSA 50 delivers strong cutting performance with low weight and easy adjustability, making it ideal for trimming, clearing small lawn areas, and edging in home gardens. Thanks to smart electronics, it maintains consistent power regardless of the battery’s charge level. Its quiet electric motor also makes it perfect for noise‑sensitive areas.

For comfortable, ergonomic use, both the shaft length and loop handle can be adjusted without tools, and the mowing head can be set to three angles. You can switch between trimming and edging in just a few quick, tool‑free steps. A foldable spacer bar helps protect trees, shrubs, and objects while achieving clean, precise cuts.

CONSTANT POWER

CONSTANT POWER, REGARDLESS OF BATTERY CHARGE STATUS. With other brands of battery tools, the performance usually decreases during work as the battery discharges. This is not the case with STIHL cordless power tools with CONSTANT POWER. Thanks to the intelligent electronics, your STIHL power tool works with consistently high power.

SWIVELLING MOWING UNIT

EFFICIENT CUTTING OF LAWN EDGES. To cut lawn edges comfortably, precisely and quickly, you can turn the mowing unit by 90° with a few simple movements. This means that vertical cuts for lawn edges can be made in a normal working position, and sharp contours along paths or flower beds can be easily cut out.

ADJUSTABLE WORKING DEPTH

COMFORTABLE TRIM UNDER OBSTACLES. The mowing unit can be angled in several stages, allowing you to comfortably adjust the grass trimmer to your own height and also to the working environment. This allows you to work particularly comfortably under obstacles such as benches.

LOOP HANDLE

MORE COMFORT AS YOU WORK. It is easy to adjust the loop handle of this brushcutter to your own height simply by tilting it. Doing so allows you to work for longer without fatigue. The height can be adjusted without using any tools.

ERGONOMIC CONTROL HANDLE WITH SPEED CONTROL

EASY ADJUSTMENT OF POWER TOOL PERFORMANCE. Quickly and conveniently adjust the speed of your power tool to the respective work situation. Doing so reduces energy consumption at low speeds, and in this way extends the battery runtime. The practical control handle with speed control allows you to make the relevant adjustment without having to change your grip or pause work.

CARRYING RING

FOR SAFE STORAGE. The power tool has an integrated carrying ring. This allows you to store your power tool safely and compactly.

LENGTH-ADJUSTABLE SHAFT

FOR HIGH WORKING COMFORT. Thanks to the length-adjustable shaft, you can work very comfortably and with minimum strain on your back. To do so, simply adjust the shaft to your height and working method, without tools.

SOFTGRIP HANDLE WITH CONTROL LEVER

FOR COMFORTABLE WORK. The softgrip handle integrates the control lever for switching on and off as well as a control lever lock, to make it easier to operate your battery brushcutter. Not only is it easy to grip, but it also absorbs some of the vibrations that arise during operation.

SPARE BLADE STORAGE

Up to 6 PolyCut blades can be stored on the unit and easily replaced when needed.

FLEXIBLE SPACER BAR

PROTECTS DURING MOWING. The spacer bar protects objects and plants as well as the cutting attachment. It means that when mowing, you can be certain of trimming precisely, without damaging plants, bark or objects. The cutting tool does not cut beyond the position of the bar. However, the front part of the spacer bar is made from flexible material, so that you can push against it if necessary and then get even closer to objects when trimming. This makes it possible to carry out clearing work in a controlled and thorough manner. You can fold the bar up or down as needed.

POWER TOOL MONITORING WITH THE SMART CONNECTOR

INTEGRATION INTO STIHL CONNECTED. The power tool is compatible with the Smart Connector, meaning it can be integrated into the STIHL connected system. Once you have attached a Smart Connector to the power tool, after one-time commissioning it will record the power tool’s operating hours and transmit them to the STIHL connected App via Bluetooth. In addition to displaying the operational time, the app also provides an overview of all necessary maintenance, ensuring that you do not overlook important upkeep and that your power tool is always in a ready-to-use condition.
